LIOG Press Release #1 - 2019: The Crucial Year for the Oil and Gas Industry in Lebanon
March 2019 - Following on the success of the past four editions, the fifth Lebanon International Oil & Gas Summit will return to Beirut, Under the Patronage of Her Excellency Mrs Nada Boustani Khoury, the Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water, from the 2nd till the 4th of April 2019 with a two-day strategic and one-day technical programs, featuring the most senior-level industry experts from across the public and private sectors, supported by an international exhibition and VIP meeting programme.
2019 is a crucial year for the oil and gas industry in Lebanon. Exploration drilling will be starting with promising results in two blocks licensed to the Total, ENI and Novatek consortium. It will also witness the launch of the second licensing round, with the prospects of attracting more international oil and gas majors, and the government is introducing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) for the first time to the Lebanese market through FSRUs.
LIOG 2019 has earned the support and endorsement of a record number of sponsors and supporters. LIOG 2019 will feature:
